If you're looking for a proven heifer producer, here she is! Dunn Respecting just calved her 13th heifer. She's had only 1 bull calf her entire life. She's in amazing health for her mature age. Her conformation, condition, and mobility is that of a much younger cow. We have only listed her for sale because a recent case of mastitis decreased her milking ability, requiring intervention for the calf (she produces colostrum and enough milk to support a 2-3 week old calf). Unfortunately, we're not set up to accommodate special needs animals. Because we don't feel her current situation is in anyway genetic, and we feel her heifers are an asset to the breed, we've decided to offer her for sale to the "right" person. We're looking for someone who will allow her to live out her senior years and who's willing to do what's necessary to ensure the health of the calf if they choose to breed her. She will be available the beginning of June when her current calf is weaned.
